It is also possible to change the color of electro-galvanizing according to requirements. There are zinc layers of different colors such as white zinc, blue-white zinc, colored zinc or black, which can play a very good decorative role in special environments. Zinc plated hexagon bolts are widely used, covering basically all industries.
Hot-dip galvanized is also a protective coating for hex cap screws. Its anti-corrosion performance is better than zinc electronic coating. The surface will be covered with a protective film with a thickness more than 45 microns, so the anti-corrosion performance of H.D.G hex bolts is good. The hot-dip galvanized bolts are mainly used in industries such as wind power facilities, photovoltaic base stations and national grid structures.
The two galvanizing processes have their own characteristics. Since the thickness of hot-dip galvanizing reaches more than 45 microns, it has a great influence on the thread. Generally, the specifications above M8 are suitable for hot-dip galvanizing treatment, while zinc coating does not have this limit. When H.D.G hex bolts assembling, over-size hot-dip galvanized nuts are required.
